ADVANCING THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD
In producing our first Innovation Landscape, we evaluated more than 180 companies and organizations working with human-relevant and animal-free technologies for biomedical research and drug development. We invite you to explore this resource and learn more!
DRIVING INNOVATION
At the Center for Contemporary Sciences, we believe the next generation of cures is dependent on innovation in human-relevant and animal-free R&D. Our goal is to help accelerate this change.
Biomedicine and biotechnology are at a potentially transformative moment:
• NIH Statement on catalyzing the development of Novel Approach Methods (NAMs) – a $400M innovation program announced on February 1st, 2024.
• FDA Modernization Act 2.0 – a major update to biomedical regulatory policy, which the Center for Contemporary Sciences helped bring to law.
• Acceleration in synthetic and simulation biology – including: in silico (A.I.), in vitro, and in chemico methods.
* CCS holds no compensatory or monetary connections to any of the entities shown here
The Center for Contemporary Sciences (CCS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of humans, animals, and the planet. Core to our mission is supporting innovative scientific and technological advancements that accelerate drug development and the discovery of cures.
